Convex, expanding with age, sometimes with a narrow central bump, surface smooth, viscid to dry, reddish brown to yellowish brown, hygrophanous, drying paler, margin decorated with white veil remnants, sometimes radially lined, to about 4 cm across

Microscopic Features

Spores ellipsoidal, slightly angular in face view, smooth, thick walled, with germ pore (10-14) x (7-9) µm2. Basidia subcylindrical, 4 spored. Gill edge cystidia cylindrical. Gill face cystidia absent.
